Programs
The Juvenile Crime Prevention Council is not a direct service provider, but appropriates NC Department of Public Safety dollars allocated to Caswell for Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention and monitors those funded programs.
Currently funded JCPC programming in Caswell County includes Teen Court, Community Service & Restitution, Teen Tiers (restorative justice or “sentencing” circles), Parenting Classes, and Interpersonal Skill building.
Programming is provided by Caswell’s Youth Outreach/Enrichment Program that operates under the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office and Roots & Wings, which is headquartered in Person County but maintains an office in Yanceyville.
Community members seeking help for at-risk youth are encouraged to discuss these program options with school administrators, guidance counselors, juvenile court counselors, or school resource officers involved with the child. Parenting classes and interpersonal skill development for youth is available to anyone in the community through Roots & Wings.
